Now you can manage your library account from anywhere by downloading our new PrairieCat application!
With the new app, you can access your account from any and all of your mobile devices. You can also stay connected with direct links to the library’s web site, the event calendar, and Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube accounts. The new app gives users the ability to manage every aspect of their library experience. Search the catalog, place holds, renew books, view reading history, and access e-books, and link out to our eResources.
The app is available by downloading the PrairieCat App from your phone’s app store (available for both iOS and Android phones) and selecting Sycamore Public Library. Click on “My Account” and then “Add a Library Card”. The final step is to add your library barcode (library card number) and the last four digits of the barcode for the password. Once you are signed on, you can get started.

- Search PrairieCat Mobile in the app store on your Apple or Android device
- Choose Sycamore Public Library from the list of libraries
- Tap My Account
- Tap Add a Library Card
- Enter your library card number and PIN (the last 4 digits of your card number unless you changed it to a personalized PIN in the past)
- Begin accessing your account details and information instantly!
