Faxing

Faxing is available on the 2nd floor of the library at the Adult Reference Desk. Charges for faxing are $1.00 per page to send and 50¢ per page to receive. The library’s fax number is 815-839-7270.


Exam Proctoring

Proctoring services are available Monday-Friday to assist online students/distance learners with their exams. For proctoring, please contact the Adult Reference Desk at 815-895-2500 ext. 126 or email kimh@sycamorelibrary.org at least one week in advance to schedule an appointment. We also recommend that you contact us a few days in advance of your appointment to be sure the materials have been received.


Notary

Notary services are available at the library with a valid I.D. To ensure that one of our notaries is available, we recommend you call before coming in. Remember: in order for us to notarize your documents, they must not be signed prior to your appointment.


Voter Registration

Voter registration and information updates can be done for Illinois residents at the library. Simply drop in with two identifying documents and ask for help at any of our service desks. Note: You must be a U.S. Citizen and 18 years of age or older to register to vote.


Meeting Rooms

Members of the public may request the use of one of the library’s three meeting rooms for a fee. Before making a request, please review our Meeting Room Policy. To request a room, please complete the Meeting Room Application. Questions? Contact our Office Manager at 815-895-2500 ext. 121.

Online Order of Protection

The library provides computers to access the Online Orders of Protection form. For assistance completing the form, contact the Circuit Clerks Office in your County.

DeKalb County Legal Self-Help Center

The DeKalb County Legal Self-Help Center provides legal information to DeKalb County residents about their legal rights and responsibilities, instructions on how to handle common legal problems, assistance with some legal documents and forms, and referrals to free and low-cost legal services.
