Daring Words: Storytelling for Healing and Action

Sycamore Library is excited to bring back storyteller and educator Dr. Ada Cheng during Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, for a special focus on storytelling for healing and creating action.

In this unique performance compilated just for Sycamore Library; Dr. Cheng will share pieces of her writing dealing with topics on anti-Asian racism, leadership, and home.

• She will discuss her journey as a storyteller and producer.
• She will show, through sharing her writing, how personal narrative is a powerful tool for healing, resistance, and action.
• Finally, she will provide some concrete suggestions for the audience interested in embarking on this journey.
