
Culinary Literacy Center’s African Heritage Cooking Series
Join Sycamore Library in celebrating Black History Month through a tasty and educational cooking series. The Free Library of Philadelphia’s Culinary Literacy Center invites you to learn, cook, and get A Taste of African Heritage from the comfort of home.
Attend these six virtual cooking classes Saturdays from 12-1:30 CST starting February 5th through March 12th, for free. Register through our Eventbrite to receive the sign-up link for the program, as well as the recipes you’ll be creating and the ingredients you’ll need.
Led by instructor, Shayla Felton-Dorsey. Shayla is a passionate Philadelphia chef whose focus includes community, culture and food.

We encourage you to sign up and join us for every session. Please sign up for every session you plan to attend. Registered participants can access the program via Zoom. Be aware that the time of the program on the Culinary Literacy Center’s page is based on EST. We are one hour behind in Illinois, in CST.
