Beginning Vermicomposting with Lori

Learn vermicomposting with Lori Brown , Master Gardener.

Join us for our second Master Gardener Summer Lecture Series on July 12th at 6:00pm !

Held outdoors in the Sycamore Public Library garden off Main St., Lori Brown, Master Gardener, will demonstrate how begin vermicomposting. Attendees will create their own starter vermicomposting bin, please dress accordingly.

Vermicomposting is a composting process using worms to create a mixture of decomposing vegetable or food waste, thus producing nutrient-rich organic fertilizer and soil conditioner you can use in your garden.

Per CDC guidelines, masks are optional when outdoors.

In the event of inclement weather, we will host the lecture safely inside the library. If moved to inside the library, masks are optional for vaccinated individuals and recommended for unvaccinated individuals. All attendees will be contacted via email and/or phone of any location changes within 1/2 hour of the event starting time.
