Saturday, Feb 10th Celebrate Black History Month: Alice’s Ordinary People Screening and Panel Discussion- 1 pm-2:30 pm.
Celebrate Black History Month with Sycamore Library and DeKalb County History Center. Join us at the Community Foundation building to watch a screening of the documentary film Alice’s Ordinary People, a film that shares the story of Chicago Civil Rights activist Alice Tregay; a woman who believes that ordinary people could effect extraordinary change. Director Craig Dudnick joins us to discuss Tregay’s five decades of fearless activism and the continuing relevance of Dr. Martin Luther King and the still-ongoing fight for justice. Popcorn will be provided.
