Faxing

Faxing is available in the Adult and Information Services Department. The cost for faxing is $1.00 per page to send, and 50¢ per page to receive. Exam Proctoring

Online and remote learners may take their exams at the library. To arrange for a proctor, contact the Adult and Information Services Department at 815-895-2500 ext. 126 or email lauriem@sycamorelibrary.org. Exam times are available Monday-Friday-All requests for proctoring services must be received by the Library at least one week in advance. Please contact the library to confirm your appointment before the date of the exam and ensure all materials have been received.


Notary

When you need your documents notarized, library staff are available to help. Don’t forget to bring your unsigned items and an i.d. with you. To ensure that one of our notary staff is available, you may want to call 815-895-2500 ext. 126 before your stop in.


Voter Registration

If you live in Illinois and need to register or update your information we can help. Bring two proofs of identification to any of the service desks. You must be a U.S. Citizen and 18 years of age or older to register.


Meeting Room

The Sycamore Public Library welcomes public use of the meeting facilities in keeping with the Library’s mission to give residents of all ages a place to gather. All non-library groups using the meeting rooms are required to pay a meeting room rental fee. To request use of the meeting room please review the meeting room policy and complete the meeting room application. If you have questions, please contact our Office Manager at 815-895-2500 ext. 121.

The library provides computers to access the Online Orders of Protection form. For assistance completing the form, contact the Circuit Clerks Office in your County.

DeKalb County Legal Self-Help Center

The DeKalb County Legal Self-Help Center provides legal information to DeKalb County residents about their legal rights and responsibilities, instructions on how to handle common legal problems, assistance with some legal documents and forms, and referrals to free and low-cost legal services.
