The mathematical constant of Pi, often abbreviated as 3.14, has amazed mathematicians for nearly 4000 years. Pi is everywhere in math. It shows up constantly (no pun intended) where you’d least expect it. Pi Day is an annual celebration commemorating the mathematical constant π-observed on March 14 (or 3/14).
We at the Sycamore Library celebrate all things Pi(e) annually on March 14. This just so happens to fall on the birthday of the beloved scientist Albert Einstein. Join in the fun!
Our Famed Pie Eating Contest, courtesy of Sycamore Parkway Restaurant, begins at 5:30 pm! No sign-up required.
