April 21 at 7:00pm–MIDNIGHT AT THE BLACKBIRD CAFE, by Heather Webber
It was supposed to be a quick trip to close the café and settle her grandmother’s estate, but despite her best intentions to avoid forming ties or even getting to know her father’s side of the family, Anna Kate finds herself inexplicably drawn to the quirky Southern town her mother ran away from so many years ago, and the mysterious blackbird pie everybody can’t stop talking about.
May 19 at 7:00pm–MEXICAN GOTHIC by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
After receiving a frantic letter from her newly-wed cousin begging for someone to save her from a mysterious doom, Noemí Taboada heads to High Place, a distant house in the Mexican countryside. She’s not sure what she will find—her cousin’s husband, a handsome Englishman, is a stranger, and Noemí knows little about the region.
June 16 at 7:00pm–BEACH READ by Emily Henry
Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes bestselling romance. When she pens a happily ever after, he kills off his entire cast.
They’re polar opposites. In fact, the only thing they have in common is that for the next three months, they’re living in neighboring beach houses, broke, and bogged down with writer’s block.
Until, one hazy evening, one thing leads to another and they strike a deal designed to force them out of their creative ruts: Augustus will spend the summer writing something happy, and January will pen the next Great American Novel.
If you are unable to attend any evening you signed up for, we request that you please cancel your registration as soon you can. Staff takes additional time out of their regular hours to head to this off-site program, and have found multiple times that no one who is registered shows up. Cancelling when you are unable to attend makes things much easier on staff who would have stayed late when they may not have needed to. Thank you for your understanding.
