Toddler Time

Tuesday mornings • 10:00am.  A simple story, songs, & movement for children 18 months to 3 years old & their caregivers. Each program is designed to help children build their listening, sitting, and participation skills as well as development of large and fine motor skills. Offered weekly.

Story Time

Wednesday & Thursday Mornings • 10:00am.  Stories, conversation, & activities to encourage the development of early social & literacy skills. For independent children 3-6 years old. Offered weekly.

Tales and Treats

Thursday evenings • 6:00pm. Join storyteller Bruce Wallace for songs, stories, & crafts! Funding for this program has been generously donated by the Sycamore Kiwanis Club. Offered once each month.

Musical Mornings

Friday mornings • 10:00am. Join Music Therapist Angie Carter for songs and movement!  This special program is for children of all abilities developed especially for ages 0-3. Offered once each month.

Pokemon Players

Tuesday evenings • 5:00pm. Celebrate all things Pokemon! Join us the 4th Tuesday of each month for Pokemon battles, conversation, and crafts! All ages.

 Books and Barks

Wednesday evenings • 6:00pm. Books and Barks is a unique program that provides children with an opportunity to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to a Canine Good Citizen.  The goal of Books and Barks is to create a positive, non-threatening, and fun environment for independent reading.  Space is limited, registration required.

LEGO Sundays

Sunday afternoon • 1:30pm. Are you a master builder? Join us the 1st Sunday of each month for an afternoon of Lego building! We supply the LEGOs, you bring the creativity.  All ages.

Summer Challenge

Each Year between June and July the Children’s department offers a challenge–complete 5 hours of reading & a creative activity in your Summer Reading Scrapbook to earn small prizes & rewards from local businesses! In addition to this challenge, there are many fun activities and performances throughout the summer.
