Adult Programs Page
Join us every month as our resident crafty Librarian Tammy helps you unleash your pinterest potential. Each month Tammy finds an amazing book “up-cycling” opportunity and develops a step-by-step program around it. While these crafts may look complicated, Tammy breaks it down into easy to handle steps that is easy enough for a novice yet challenging and rewarding enough for an experienced crafter. All events are open to teens and adults and are free of charge. Supplies are included, sign-up at the second floor reference desk is required. For dates and the specific craft for this month check our calendar of events.

Beginners are welcome and some basic supplies are available to help you get started on a small project. This group meets the second Thursday of each month from 11:30 AM -12:30 PM in the meeting room. Free and open to all.

DeKalb Area Creative Writers
This group of friendly adults are serious about writing…they welcome new members who want helpful readings and feedback of their work-in progress and can commit to offering the same for fellow members. They welcome any creative genres(poetry, memoir, fiction, creative non-fiction, screenwriting, etc.) Their goal is to create a positive, encouraging, honest, and fun atmosphere that is consistent enough to build trust. To that end active participation is expected. Meetings are held at the Sycamore Public Library every other Friday from 2:30pm-4:30pm. See our online calendar for dates.
